It’s with great excitement that we’re welcoming back Distributed Health, one of the earliest and most well-known communities in the healthcare blockchain space.
Distributed Health (“Distributed”) was born in 2016 from a community led by BTC Media and Hashed Health. Distributed quickly became the premier meeting place for the early leaders in the healthcare blockchain world. Distributed revolved around the annual Distributed Health conference and the Nashville Blockchain Meetup.
In 2018, the annual conference hosted over 700 attendees from around the world, while the Nashville Blockchain Meetup grew to over 1,000 members. These conversations were the birthplace of several of the most well-known blockchain projects such as Hashed Health, Professional Credentials Exchange, and the Synaptic Health Alliance.
Now, as Web3 races forward, leaders in our space aim to bring Distributed back to life to resume its role as a meeting place for the builders and innovators in the Web3 community.
While the rest of the world seems fixated on variants of Bored Apes and token-gated investment clubs, we believe there’s a need for a community that collaborates on blockchain, NFTs, DAOs, and Web3 initiatives as a force for improving and empowering the lives of individuals and communities.
Starting this month, the Distributed community is coming back together to plan events, share knowledge, form new ideas, breed new startups, and advance proven solutions that benefit the lives of individuals around the world.
All are welcome! If you’re in Nashville next week, you can register here for the Distributed Health Meetup on “Storing, Sharing and Monetizing Health Data in Web3,” a conversation led by Carm Huntress of Credo and John Bass of Hashed Health at the Nashville Entrepreneur Center.
While we’re excited about bringing back live events, we’re also launching a Discord that allows community members across the world to learn, engage and collaborate in real-time throughout the year. If you’re interested in being an early participant in the Distributed Discord, please join the conversation here.
